In the journey to discover the Northwest region, you will have opportunities to visit many attractive destinations. Following are three of places to visit in the Vietnam Northwest. Hope that you will have a fun and meaningful vacation in Vietnam.
Thac Ba Lake (Yen Bai)
Sailing on Thac Ba lake, visitors not only feel the cool air from the water and the wind of the lake but also harmonize with nature, release your soul into the vast space of the sky and the sea and layer upon layer mountains.
After several hours of floating on the lake, tourists visit Thuy Tien cave, Xuan Long cave, Cao Bien mountain, Chang Re mountain, Thac Ong temple and Thac Ba temple. On the other hand, visitors can go upstream Chay river to come to Ngoc Luc Yen to visit Sao temple, Dai Cai temple and Khai Trung plain where we realize many cultural features of the ethnic people of Tay and Yao.
In terms of the cave system on Thac Ba lake, Thuy Tien cave is one of the most popular caves. Thuy Tien cave is located 100 meters deep in the mountain and associated with the legend of the beautiful fairy escaping from the Celestial Court to the Earth for playing. The cave is covered by numerous masterpieces created by the Creator including colorful stalactites and the cave system in association with thrilling legends. Visitors have the feeling of being lost in the dreamlike world, which will help tourists to relieve stress after the days of working hard.
Tien Son cave (Lai Chau)
According to some research, Tien Son cave was constructed from Karst millions of years ago. The cave includes 36 separated sections running through two mountain sides. Entering deep into the cave, the space of the cave is increasingly expanded. Each section is called a sacred name such as Mau Au Co, Lac Long Quan and Ba Chua Kho. However, when moving deeper into the cave, visitors will not witness popular images of incense-smoke like other areas. Instead, the airy and fresh space appears in front of eyes. Previously, Tien Son had a wild appearance and experienced no reclamation with luxuriant vegetation. In contrast, nowadays, Tien Son cave becomes an attractive tourist destination in the trip to the northwest Vietnam, from Sa Pa – Lao Cai to Lai Chau. In coming future, Tien Son cave will be an indispensable destination for local and foreign tourists as well in the journey in Lai Chau – Tam Duong.
