Cham pa museum was built by the French. This place collects, stores and displays the relics of Cham sculpture which were found in the Cham towers and ramparts in the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands provinces.

Located in the two most beautiful streets of Danang, 2/9 street and Trung Nu Vuong Street, Museum of Cham Sculpture was started to construct in July 1915 with the help of the French scientists at the Vien Dong Bac Co school (French School of the Far East). The museum was inaugurated in 1919 and underwent several renovations before existing in this way.

The Museum of Cham Sculpture owns nearly 2,000 large and small objects including nearly 500 objects that are displayed inside the Museum, the others scatter at the campus. On campus, the Gothic architecture, which is deeply influenced by French architecture, harmonizes with the surrounding space where the smell emanates from plumeria.

In terms of the arrangement of objects in the museum, the objects are mainly displayed in different subdivisions that correspond with the geographical areas where they were discovered. The subdivisions are My Son, Tra Kieu, Dong Duong, Thap Man, the corridors of Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum, Quang Binh and Binh Dinh.
