Noi Bai International Airport – Hanoi
45 kilometer from the center of Hanoi to the northwest, Noi Bai airport is an international airport in the North and ranked the second among the largest airports in the whole of Vietnam. This is an important transportation gateway of Hanoi in particular and the country in general.
Established in 1978, with a total area of 90,000 square meter, Noi Bai airport by the Northern Airports Authority managed by Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam. The airport has two main runways, each of which is from 3200 to 3800 meter following the standard of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
With three airfields that are 165, 224 square meters wide and two passenger terminals consisting of four floors, the total floor area of 90 hectares; Noi Bai International Airport reaches the capacity of 15 – 20 million of passengers per year and becomes one of the largest air transportation center in the region.
Being invested to build and upgrade, this place is rather airy and convenient. Besides, it is quite easy for tourists to move from the airport to the city center and the surrounding areas by train, taxi, minibus or bus.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport – Ho Chi Minh City
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is now one of the main airports in Vietnam with a total area of over 850 hectares and attracts approximately 15-17 million of visitors each year, which is at the head of the country.
Located in the North of Saigon centre, Tan Son Nhat airport is one of the important transport hubs of Vietnam and the Southeast Asia.
This place is the headquarters of all the Vietnamese airlines including three local and 43 international carriers and is also the main headquarters of Vietnam Airlines Corporation.
Tan Son Nhat airport has two parallel runways; each runway is from 3,000 to 3,800 meters and over 45 meters wide. The airport can accommodate various types of civil and long-range military aircrafts like Boeing and Airbus.
The airport comprises of two parts, particularly the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal.
The International Terminal covers an area of 92,920 square meters and is equipped with modern facilities with a capacity of 15-17 million passengers per year.
With such a scale, Tan Son Nhat is able to provide 20 flights in the rush hour and serve 25 million of passengers per year.
In addition, Tan Son Nhat International Airport is a firm construction built in a new style with full of amenities like a restaurant and a shopping mall, which is aimed at meeting all the needs of travelers.
Danang International Airport
Danang International Airport is located in Hai Chau district, 5 kilometer from the center of Danang. This airport is regarded as the most important of the central region and the Central Highlands and has the third largest scale in Vietnam.
Danang Airport has a total area of 842 hectares; the area of the civil aviation covers 150 hectares. The airport includes two runways installed automatic equipment such as signal lights, path support, environmental monitoring and meteorological forecasting system. Therefore, this site has the ability to serve various types of large commercial aircrafts such as Boeing, Airbus and Antonov in every weather condition.
Aviation Airports Corporation of the Central planned to extend the scale in order to transport 10 million of passengers and one million tons of cargo per year in 2020.
From Danang international airport, visitors can directly take a flight to Asian and European countries and domestic destinations such as Quy Nhon, Phu Quoc and Can Tho.
Cam Ranh International Airport – Khanh Hoa
30 km from Nha Trang, Cam Ranh International Airport is the main civil airport of Khanh Hoa province. Situated in the beautiful waters endowed with a favorable position. As result, before 1975, this destination was used as a military base; and until 2004, Cam Ranh airport officially operated civil flights.
In 2007, Cam Ranh airport was upgraded and became an international airport offering the service to more than one million of passengers per year, ranked fifth among the airports in Vietnam.
Since May 6 2008, Cam Ranh International Airport has supplied more flights in the night.
Can Tho International Airport
Previously, Can Tho International Airport was named Tra Noc airport; 8 km from Can Tho city center and the international trade gateway of the whole Mekong Delta.
Airports are divided into two main areas for domestic and international visitors; the rest space is for planting trees creating the airy and cool atmosphere. The architecture is designed in a unique way. The idea is drawn mainly from the sampan of Mekong Delta.
The facade of the airport has a beautiful modern glass frame in the form of Spider. From inside, visitors can admire the lake which is also the source of water for fire fighting if necessary .
Can Tho airport is capable of receiving the advanced aircraft having the ability to serve between 3 and 5 million of passengers and 5,000 tons of commercial cargo annually.
In addition to the original function that was to provide flights to passengers, the airports now offer many other services such as meals, taxi, hotel reservations and travel tickets; which creates a closed serving process for passengers.
